Quick idea for covered dish after recipe fail. Leaving in 3 hours!

So I attempted to make a dip, which I have made hundreds of times, but tried to melt the cheese for the top layer to make a pumpkin face. The cheese melted, but would not spread. It ruined all the layers. So now, I need to quickly run to the store to make something fast or pick something up along the way. The only thing I can come up with is to stop at an Italian Deli and pick up stromboli. Any ideas?

Your plan is a good one. My friend says she likes to pick up fresh spring rolls (as opposed to fried) from a Thai restaurant on her way to parties.

OMG!!! A stromboli sounds FANTASTIC!!! Swoon...

Can you just sprinkle something over the unspreadable cheese like green onions or crunchy onions? Or just add more cheese to cover the entire thing??

Ok, Stromboli, it is! I like the spring rolls idea also! I will keep that one in mind!
