I got one for $100 off last Black Friday at Best Buy. I purchased online. It was an iPad Mini 4 64 GB, WiFi only. Usually had a price of $499 and I paid $399 on Black Friday. I think Staples had an even better deal at the time for $379, but I missed that.

I bought my IPad Mini 1 (32gig) from apple.com as a refurbished unit in Jan., 2014 and while the one they sent me ended up being a dud I took it back to Apple and they replaced it with a brand new one that I haven't had any problems with (although it is starting to get a little slow).

I bought two years ago from Target. I don't remember the promotion, but I know there was one b/c I drove to a Target a few suburbs away to take advantage of some in-store deal. It was a Christmas present for DD. It might have been for Black Friday, but I think it might have been earlier in November or October.

I got my ipad mini on a BEst Busy "Black Friday" Deal that started the week of (Two years ago? I think). So I picked it up in store on Wednesday!

Yes - another black friday buyer here - - i think it may have even been 3 or 4 years ago I got the mini (prob 1st generation) for $199 online. I ended up buying 3 of them - and they are ALL still being used and updated to this day.
