I'm hosting a playdate tomorrow, and the other mom told me today that her child is gluten-free. I know this is silly, but what snack should I serve that is gluten-free? I'm so tired from other life stuff going on that I'd appreciate being told a few menu items I can go get at the store.

Apple slices, grapes, cheese sticks, etc.

There are so many different degrees of "gluten free". I think applesauce pouches would be totally safe - no concerns about cross-contamination with your dishes, etc if they are super-strict.
Individual pouches of Pirate's Booty would work too.

Kind bars are. Or so my celiac friend just informed me when we got coffee last week.

Cheese and fruit. Some kids love salami or ham slices too. Some of the bigger boys are obsessed with breakfast sausage. Anything by Enjoy Life. Skinny Pop popcorn.

Miltons Gluten Free chips (you can get them in a big bag at Costco.....they are by the crackers) are awesome with cheese and or hummus. Trader Joe's Gluten Free chicken nuggets in the blue bag are awesome too! (thanks Kindra!).

I am not really familiar with all of the gluten free options out there. But cheese and fruit should be safe.

Yes to this.

My 13 year old gluten-free DS1 snacks on cheese sticks, fruit, salami, chicken breasts, and ham! And yes, he loves sausage too!

Keep it simple, maybe slice up an apple, or cheese sticks, they really don't need much to eat, maybe some juice or water?

I kept it easy and did cheese, fruit, veggies and gluten free crackers. Thanks all!
