One of our homeschool groups is having an election party tomorrow night and we need to bring a finger food to share. I can't seem to get past breadsticks or pub cheese and pretzels- any ideas for a good crowd pleaser?

We always do a veggie tray and a fruit tray. Bonus points if I don't actually have to cut anything up or it's easy to cut up. baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, celery with some sort of ranch dip. Raspberries, blueberries, something else and a fruit dip (one container strawberry yogurt, one container cool whip mixed up)

The trays make me feel better that there's something healthier and always get eaten.

dill dip in a pumpernickel loaf? Wings in the crock pot?

Buffalo chicken dip
Bacon wrapped dried apricots with sage
Baked Camembert with sun-dried tomatoes and crackers
Barefoot Contessa's Rosemary Cashews
Smitten Kitchen's Chicken Meatballs

Lots of good ideas! Thanks

If if I put out toothpicks will meatballs count as finger foods? Everybody loves meatballs!

eta: except the vegans...

Mini tacos?
Ha!! That was my first thought too.

Crockpot meatballs are always a hit here. Hoagie dip is also amazing but moreso for older kids and adults.

Apple pie cookies for dessert?

Yes. I think of anything you can eat off a small plate with just a disposable fork or your fingers is finger food. My criteria is that you don't need a knife.

Ha! I just asked DH if he wanted to add anything to my Costco shopping list for election night and he immediately suggested alcohol.

My recent go-to finger food is goat cheese stuffed dates.
I love them.
They're a problem. :bag:

I think in the spirit of a peaceful transfer of power, we should all get together with tequila and all of these yummy foods and have a group hug and sing Kumbaya.

lets all be the most beautiful shade of purple together:)

Here's the recipe I use. Delicious but kinda fussy to make. https://smittenkitchen.com/2011/10/apple-pie-cookies/

For a larger crowd I might make this instead. Not quite as portable but easier to make and equally delicious. https://smittenkitchen.com/2013/10/apple-slab-pie/
