Cupboard under the stairs reading nook decorating help please!

DS2 is crazy for Harry Potter. He has been asking for a cupboard under the stairs for the last year. We are converting a stairwell closet into a cupboard under the stairs reading nook for Christmas. We're putting in an indoor / outdoor carpet and then we'll add plush throw rugs and seating of some sort. We have shelves along one wall and the remainder is empty. We'll put books, wands, and a bludger set on the shelves. We're going to put hooks in one corner to hang robes and brooms. I was thinking I would like a sign of some sort for the door. What else would you add? Ideas on how to reveal it? TIA

What a fantastic idea! The only other decoration I can think of is a birdcage with a stuffed owl in it, but I'm not sure how much space you have. As for the reveal, how about a scavenger hunt that ends there?

Etsy had some great HP quotes in vinyl. We put a Marauders Map in DS2's room. He collects those HP Pop figures too. A Wizard Chess set (there is a super fancy one, but we got the basic set).
