Selecting American Girl doll - hair color

DD (turning 9) wants her first AG doll for her birthday. The closest store is a four-hour drive one-way, and I have a 20% off coupon so I am planning to order online. She wants one that looks like her, but DD's hair is medium golden brown and I can't figure out which to get between two. Does anyone have a Truly Me doll with brown hair or black-brown hair, and if so, how dramatic is the difference IRL? I see there are also some dolls with dark brown hair but they have bangs or the wrong color eyes.

I'd go with the lighter hair color to match medium brown. The other one looks more dark brown, like Ruthie's hair, which we have and it's pretty dark.

Some of the Toys R Us now have Truly Me dolls in stock. If one of those are close to you, you could go check it out in person. Truly Me #59 has the Brown Hair and Truly Me #25 has the Black-Brown Hair

(though I'd lean toward #59 for medium golden brown hair)
