DD2 wants an orange "mermaid" blanket. It must be fleece. Help!! Not even sure what words to use in a search. I didn't think this would be that hard to find.

Does it have to be fleece? Most of the mermaid blankets I've seen are knit.

I agree with elbenn the only ones I've seen are knit. You may have to contact a seamstress to make one if it needs to be fleece

I saw some mermaid tail blankets on an endcap at Target that were thin fleecy material (like a snuggie). I can't remember what color they were though.

You might look at the ones on Amazon. They have several fleece ones, and some have orange in them (didn't see solid orange though).

That's what I keep seeing too! DD2 has a multicolored one that is fleece. She wants one the same but orange. It is the cozy factor.

This looks awesome. I have never ordered from etsy. Do I need to be concerned at all?

Can you sew? They're easy to make. Made for Mermaids has a free pattern on their blog.

I wish. My neighbor across the street does all my sewing. [emoji849] She already works ridiculous hours so don't think I could ask her. Her mom would probably do it. My DH cooks for her often.

DD got one this is sort of fleece, it's a silky fleece? It's by BlankieTails. Very nicely made!

Lots of colors, no orange though.

THey had the pink mermaid one of these at Michael's on clearance after Christmas and I considered for my girls, but the reviews on Amazon aren't very good (say they are cheaply made, falling apart, etc.), so I passed.

Just an idea for something different, my mom made poncho wraps for my girls from fleece blankets from Old Navy. They wrap them around their shoulders and wear them around the house when they are cold. Maybe you could find an orange fleece for that to snuggle in? Very easy to do if you don't sew.
