I have felt like crap for the past month, said yes to way way too many things at work this semester, and am seriously overwhelmed and behind at dealing with estate stuff from my dad passing away in November. But tonight I am being thankful for things. My husband has been cooking dinner pretty much every night and just voluntarily took our screaming 2 year old upstairs to get ready for bed by himself (we usually all go play upstairs for a little while before bed). And both sets of our parents, all of whom are fabulous, said today that they would be happy to come from 12+ hours away to watch our son for a few days so we could go on a short trip this summer for our anniversary. So I am feeling loved and lucky :)

I'm glad that you have some family support...it makes a huge difference. I too am blessed with a supportive husband and extended family and though it's easy to complain, it's also good to just remind them of how much they mean to us.

Hope you feel better soon and sorry to hear about your dad.
