I am sending my godson a check but also want to send him a little gift to open. Anything around $10-range that has been a huge hit with your 9-10yo's?? He has 2 older brothers.

Small Nerf gun, rubiks cube, Pokémon cards or football cards if he's into that

I know you've already gotten ideas, but DS & his friends love the little Grossery Gang things. Like Shopkins, only gross.

As with pp, I know you've already gotten ideas :) but sometimes I reference these threads later when I'm looking for ideas and these were hits for us with that age range with my science loving kiddos, boy or girl:

a small black light on a keychain

Aaron's thinking putty

The small zombie themed nerf gun is around $10 and is a hot item with the kids here right now.

Another vote for Aaron's thinking putty - - it's our GO TO small gift for ages 6-14. They especially love the tin's with a magnet or light in it. (runs from $10-15)

OMG!!! This would have been perfect!! It sounds hysterical and I've never heard of them. Bummer! He might just get another surprise in the mail.
