View Full Version : Where to look for area rugs?
I have looked at Wayfair, Overstock, and Joss & Main and haven't found anything I like. Where else should I look? TIA!

I love Dash & Albert rugs, particularly the cotton ones and the polypropylene ones (don't let the "indoor/outdoor" description scare you - those rugs look perfectly nice indoors and you can hose them off if they get dirty!).
Would recommend a good rug pad to go under these. I have one in my office, one in DH's office, one at the front door, one at the base of the stairs and I love them all (and first heard about them here!)

What about local shops? So you can really see the colors and feel the carpet?
Sierra Trading Post has some sometimes - I look specifically for hand knotted, and I second Dash and Albert - I have my eye on one of their indoor/outdoor rugs for our entry.

We have rugs from: Rug USA, FLOR, West Elm, IKEA, and Pottery Barn.
I also like Crate & Barrel rugs.

I recently got a great one at HomeGoods
What style are you looking for?
Well, that's part of the problem...I am not sure. I need a 6 ft x 6 ft or 7 ft x 7 ft square. I am thinking solid or subtle pattern. Not sure on color...maybe aqua. I hoping something will jump out at me as perfect.
Thanks for all of the ideas of where to look.

Another site with a good selection is Home Decorators Collection. But if you need square you will probably be better off going to a local carpet store and having one made. You can pick from any of the carpet choices and they can cut to any size and bind it for you.
