I would love some suggestions for food for my 5 YO DD's birthday party. It is at a venue where we're allowed to bring in food, but none is served there. The venue isn't near any pizza places/take-out food type places. (We're living overseas right now so it's a very different set up than I'm used to anywhere I've lived in the States!) The party is right at lunchtime so I need to provide food. What would you bring? So far my best idea is a fruit tray, some bowls of Goldfish, and a sandwich platter. Anyone have any better ideas? I don't love the sandwiches idea, mostly because my daughter herself isn't a big fan, but I'm just not sure what else I could do. I don't mind making something myself, but it needs to be able to be prepared in advance and not require heat.

Thanks!

Would roll-up type of sandwiches appeal to her more?

I know you said no heat, but would a taco bar, with a crockpot of taco meat be an option?

What about a tray of cheese, salami, and crackers?

hummus and pita? I only suggest because my son is a fan. Or how about pigs in blankets? You could bake at home right before and bring and they'd be still warmish?

I vote for cheese, crackers, fruit, and some deli meats. At my parties hummus has been a hit, but you know if your kids and their friends would like it. A yogurt bar is another option.

Can you bring a crock pot? Meatballs or mac n cheese are easy.

I went to a party with Dino nuggets and hoagies. Loved it. Food for all.

That's exactly what I served at my pre-Christmas family get-together!

I was going to ask if you can bring a crockpot too :) Meatballs are awesome; also hot dogs are very kid-friendly and easy.

Unfortunately nowhere to plug in a crockpot! I'm a crockpot addict so that would have been perfect, but no such luck! Thanks for all the suggestions though!
