I am looking for a comfortable black wedge to wear to work with skirts, dresses and pants. One brand that unfortunately does not work for me (I just don't find them comfortable) is Cole Haan. Any other ideas? TIA!

There goes my Coke Haan Nike recommendation. :)
I just bought a pair of Josef Seibel flats. If they have a wedge, I bet they'd be as great as my flats.

I haven't tried this style http://www.zappos.com/p/rockport-total-motion-catrin-black-leather/product/8732567/color/72 but I just got a pair of the pumps and I was very impressed by the level of cushioning and support.

Clarrks Brielle line (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/s/ref=is_s?k=clarks+brielle).

:yeahthat: and I linked them above....I have the open toe ones. or Rockport Seven to 7. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00EDNO12I/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1489103448&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=rockport+seven+to+7+wedge&dpPl=1&dpID=41nLlklt5-L&ref=plSrch) The Rockports are higher than the Clarks, but just as comfortable. I am a true 9.5 wide and both brands fit me well. I also like Rose Petals by Walking Cradles, but I only on their 3" peep toe pumps.
