We are expecting a puppy this summer and I'd like to get slippers that I can quickly throw on to take the dog for a quick walk in the morning or nighttime. I was looking at a couple of the UGGs on the Nordstrom's website, but thought I'd come here and see if any of you have a solid recommendation. TIA!

LLB clogs. Cork/rubber sole, last forever. Great for folks with plantar. I wear these all year round. My feet don't sweat because the material breathes.

For a comfy flip flop version, I like these too:

For summer late night dog walking, I just wear flip flops.

Well, this is probably something you have thought of but I have a pair of crocs that I have designated my slippers. The main floor of our house is coated cement which is wonderfully carefree and easy to clean (we have a large yard and pool and entertain a lot so we get lots of watery feet running in and out) but walking on cement all day is murder for my feet. I wear the crocs inside the house, outside, around the pool, etc. I love that I can easily wipe off the bottoms if they can dirty but I like that I can put them on when my feet are wet, I can wear them with socks in the winter, etc. But mainly I love that my feet don't ache after wearing them around.

Maybe crocs would work for you?

Also, if you are getting a puppy, get a pair that you won't cry over if something happens, like puppy teeth - it's kinda like buying a really nice blouse before your little person has outgrown spitting up. Risky business.

Crocs are my indoor shoes of choice right now, for the reasons that gatorsmom mentioned. DH usually gets a pair of shearling slippers from the Rack or Sierra Trading Post. I would hesitate to buy Uggs with a new puppy, but maybe your budget has more wiggle room than mine. I have seen some nice Uggs slippers at the Rack last time I went, in the clearance section.

I have a pair of faux-crocs and Deer Stag sliperooz at our back door for trips in the backyard.

I think the Deer Stag came from Big-5 but here's an online link https://www.amazon.com/Deerstags-Womens-Whenever-Slip-Slipper/dp/B0058FHBOU/ref=pd_sim_309_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01EB3RM5C&pd_rd_r=J1R7W5YZTP8P5BCFFTJQ&pd_rd_w=3VEYj&pd_rd_wg=kvbJJ&refRID=J1R7W5YZTP8P5BCFFTJQ&th=1

I wouldn't recommend Uggs for walking much, unless they have a completely solid, wrap around sole. Mine are super comfy and I adore them, and I can take our the garbage or go to my car in them, but I would not spend a lot of time outside in them. I'm also envisioning having to run after the dog some of the time, so I would get a pair of Vans slip ons or Romeos, something like that for walking around that would stay on my feet if I had to run or go into the grass.

I have Vionic flip flops and slippers that I wear exclusively around the house.

Love these Haflingers, they have great support. I wear them all day long at home, in and outside. The black ones are a good price right now.

I have similar LLBean clog slippers like the PP. I actually have 3 pairs! One pair is plain gray, one is purple with pretty embroidery, and one is red with a half a cat on each. They are so comfy that I hate having to put them away when the weather gets warm. I definitely wear them outside to run to the car and have done errands in them, especially the gray pair!

Here are the cat ones: https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/70223?feat=630-GN1&page=daybreak-scuffs-motif&csp=f

I used to wear uggs slippers. I wear slippers a lot so I would need a new pair every year. After a few misses with new brands, I recently got Haflinger slippers with a cork and rubber sole. They are wool so no sweating (although they have shed a bit). They are very supportive and extremely comfortable. Took about a day for the footbed to mold to my foot. Here is a link. I tried to find the least offensive look wise. I got the navy. http://m.zappos.com/p/haflinger-lacey-charcoal/product/8582119/color/275

Another vote for Halfinger....but I have the clogs not the slippers. They have a cork bottom like birkenstocks. I adore them and am on my 2nd pair.
