Do you have a mattress topper? Are they common? How often do you replace it, and do they cause problems in terms of a fitted sheet fitting over it? I've never heard of a mattress topper before but just returned from a trip where the bed I slept on had one- and it was soooo comfy. Can anyone recommend theirs? I need one that does NOT make you hot.

I think this is the one we have and like. We all tend easily overheat, but no problems here! On DS's bed it stays put. On our bed, it does tend to slide off on edge over time. I need to look for ideas of how to help that issue

We do not, but have one on our kids' beds because their mattresses are too firm. One is just a regular one (no memory foam) that fits very well and the other is the 4" dual mattress topper from Target. That one is very comfortable but slides. You should have no problem with sheets fitting.

No, wool is actually cool, as it breathes. My mom has one for her bed, and it gets hot where she lives (100+ days).

I love our gel memory foam topper. Got it for $30 at Kohls on a black Friday deal. Also bought one for the bed we sleep on when we visit the in laws. Helps make those trips a little more tolerable.
