I've been waiting for this one... but disappointed they're not doing free monogramming this year

I grabbed a backpack and lunchbox for DD1 for middle school - hope I got the right size for her. They were recommending the XL based on height but the L with 1900 cu seemed plenty big. Anyone have this and can comment on size? We did get the embroidery option - wish that had been 50% off too!
