Posting this because I would have answered the other phone posts, but its hard for me to pull all the info together.
I get nothing out of anyone looking or joining; its a forum like this one, although there is a website too. It has tons of info around phones and phone service...and how to get things cheaper. There are MNVOs which are kind of like sub-companies of the major networks and allow you to get service at a fraction of the cost. Also, info on how to get a "home phone" using something called Obhai. I believe its a VOIP service. I paid $30 and now have a "home phone" indefinitely with no charges. (It does use wifi).
