Hi all
We live in a house that was built in 1969 ,I think.

We have a tank less heater and the original pipes. For the past few weeks, I hear the pipes rumbling all the time. It goes on for 30 sec or so and is very intermittent.
The noise sounds like a vibration or something rattling the pipes. We can go for a day without the noise and it comes back the next day with vengeance..

Any ideas on what this could be?

Try bleeding the pipes - sounds like air got into the system somehow. Just google the procedure -it's really easy

Yeah, it can be both creepy and annoying - hopefully that does the trick.
