Instant cameras

My DD's friend has a Polaroid instant Camera and they had a ball with it. I want to get one for DD as I think it will be fun for her to bond with her new friends.
Does anyone have any recommendations? They don't seem to be many choices but Her friends mom isn't really the type to research things so I suspect she just bought the first one she saw.

Fujifilm Instax mini 8 was the popular one on here last christmas. Got it for a great price and my son was really enjoying it. It's also pretty easy to find the film (Target, staples, even Nordstrom rack has the camera and film). I would recommend.

Yes, DD1 just got one for her bday and has loved it! My mom got it on Amazon and her package included all sorts of fun extras like a little album, color filters, sticker frames etc.

On a related note, anyone know where has the best price for the film??
