Does anyone have experience with a good toilet seat that doesn't get pee stains on the underside? We've tried replacement ones from the local hardware store, Home Depot, and Target, and they all stain quickly. We're putting the house on the market and I want to get new ones again, but don't know what material or brand to look for that won't stain.

Thanks in advance!

We have plastic ones. I clean them every few days and they don't stain.

Same. Plastic, slow-closing.

There is a disadvantage to slow-closing though and I wouldn't get that if you're just prepping your house to sell.

Slow-closing is great BUT - then you need to change EVERY toilet in the house to slow-closing or else it's way too easy to forget if you don't have a slow closing lid and let it drop. And the other problem is when I travel, I bang the lid in every hotel room I've stayed in unless it has a slow closing lid. Also, some lids close TOO slowly. I like to have the lid down when I flush to prevent splatters. And it's annoying when I have to wait for the lid.

I don't think there's any solution for this with plastic seats other than replacing all the seats and cleaning them daily. If you clean them obsessively, they won't stain, but once they're stained I haven't found a way to get the staining off.

We have plastic ones. I HATE plastic ones, but that's what we have, partially for this reason.

We have the plastic slow-closing ones too, and they have stayed stain-free despite my 3 year old's inability to aim at all!

we have white wood slow close in both of our bathrooms. one is 6 years old and no staining.

And it is so true that once thou have slow close you find yourself dropping lids elsewhere, lol.
