my car pool buddy was talking about having been diagnosed with tonsil stones. She was horrified. Thanks to the BBB I knew exactly what she was talking about and had suggestions how to remove them herself rather than having the doctor do it, because she really really really didn't want do to that. Waterpik, q-tip, fingers, syringe full of water... all reasonable options in the comfort of her own home. BBB saves the day again.

I adore you oversharers. You have made my life better in so many ways!

What's your favorite thing (bonus points for disgusting) that you have learned on the BBB?

My most adopted BBB tip is "Pass the bean dip" Thank you!

The book Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day. I found out about it in the What's Cookin'? forum in 2008 and am still in love.

Tell me more about this please!

The premise is to make a big batch of dough, which takes about 5 minutes once you get the recipe down. Then, when you want to make some bread, you pull out the dough and cook it. I typically allow for about 1 1/2 hours to make a loaf, including resting and cooking time. The recipe typically gives me about 5 loaves and produces bakery quality results.

I always make two loaves because it is so inexpensive and easy to make a second one. Then, I give the second one away to a friend or a neighbor. One of my friends tried to convince me to start a business using the master recipe. It is that good. The gluten free recipe is really tasty as well.

Here is the post that got me hooked: http://windsorpeak.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?300186&p=2187486#post2187486

Here is the updated book: https://www.amazon.com/Artisan-Bread-Five-Minutes-Revolutionizes/dp/1250018285/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1504874817&sr=1-1&keywords=artisan+bread+in+five+minutes+a+day

The pizza stone I use: https://www.amazon.com/Old-Stone-Oven-Rectangular-14-5-Inch/dp/B0000E1FDA/ref=lp_2597740011_1_1?srs=2597740011&ie=UTF8&qid=1504874622&sr=8-1

My favorite dough whisk: https://www.amazon.com/Original-Kitchen-13-5-Inch-Stainless-Danish/dp/B00HQQJ3N6/ref=pd_sim_14_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00HQQJ3N6&pd_rd_r=DZBD78Y0M78VK4SKJJ0P&pd_rd_w=sEuEa&pd_rd_wg=Jiq2N&psc=1&refRID=DZBD78Y0M78VK4SKJJ0P

There are containers for making/storing dough on Amazon that are recommended when you look up the book. I went to a restaurant supply store for some and a pizza peel. I felt like they were much cheaper to buy that way, but the prices on Amazon don't seem too bad right now.

Good luck! If you like baking, then I think you're going to love making bread using the book. Just in time for fall, too!

You might have sold me at Gluten free..... what are the ingredients for GF bread?

I can thank the BBB for the snot sucker, Nosefrieda! I tell all my new parent friends about it and they're just horrified, but it works.

I also learned about Diva cup here.

Those of you that do the artisan bread have you tried the new healthy bread version.

We don't eat a lot of bread because my husband and I are dieting and trying to do low carb. But I do eat Ezekiel bread.

Not gross but, a while back someone posted that they put the laundry detergent cup in the washer, so it doesn't get gunky. I have been doing that ever since.
Also, my favorite phrase to tell DD, that I learned from the BBB: "Different families do different things".
