I left my glasses at my weekend place and it will be at least a week until I get back there. All my old pairs are there too for back up. I hit a wall with my contacts by late afternoon and so I'm looking to get a quick, cheap pair of rx glasses for distance. I have no idea where to get them as I usually get glasses from my optometrist every few years. TIA

Costco is cheap but it'll still take a number of days to get them.

Some Warby Parker locations offer next-day service for in-store orders. If you order them online instead, you can have your order expedited, but I'm not sure how long that takes.

Lens Crafters. Just don't let them add all the extras. The first price quoted is very bloated.

I would try the chains - like America's Best or LensCrafters. Do you have a See by you? They are quicker.

Can you get by with a pair of readers from Wal-Mart/Walgreens if it is just for a few days?

Thanks all. They are for distance so can't go with readers (which I already have too). I ended up going to Cohen's Optical for a cheapish pair that will be ready in a couple of hours. Good to know that it is possible if necessary.

I see OP found a solution. I've heard basic glasses can be obtain at Walmart inexpensively. Not sure on turn-around time though.
