Apparel for a daytime wedding at the courthouse?

I can't believe I didn't think to ask this in my earlier post. So my brother will actually be married the day before by a justice of the peace. The wedding time is 11:00 and it will be followed by a large luncheon at a restaurant.

What is proper attire for a daytime wedding? I've never been to a wedding at a courthouse before.

I’d wear a wrap dress or something along those lines. Skirt and pretty top/ blouse/ sweater would be ok too. Look at websites like Boden or Garnet Hill and check their dresses. Those would be the direction I’d go.

I've been to a few and they were generally fairly casual compared to a traditional wedding. I think you'll be fine in normal church clothes or similar.
