ISO deal on decent basic sewing machine for mom.

Wondering if anyone has seen a Black Friday or other deal on a good sewing machine. My mom has been wanting one for a while, but i don't know where to start. Mom doesn't want bells and whistles, she'll be using it for mending and basic patterns. So i think she probably wants button hole and zipper foot, but no embroidery; right?

not sure of budget. not too expensive, LOL!! but a decent brand please. All info and links are welcome.

I don't know about any deals though. I would recommend staying away from the Singer brand.
