Any tried and true favorites for gym bags or gym duffles? Ideally it would be one that has a ventilated section for shoes and such.

I found some good recommendations here, but wanted to see what you all like.

I’m eyeing the small Adidas Team Issue Duffle mentioned in the Wirecutter article so far. The Junior Kong looks nice, albeit pricey.

Thanks!

My Athleta one is super cute but wound up not being very useful. The compartments weren't the sizes I really needed them to be. Because of that, I'd buy from a place with an easy return policy or scope out the bags in person and try to see how you'd pack it.

I got a Lululemon one a while back -- it is a duffle and I like it fine but don't love it. DH goes through a bag a year but he is hard on them and gets cheap ones. The Adidas one I'd want to see as the kids get Adidas bags and they are flimsy and the zippers break but this specific one I am not familiar with and it might be stronger. If you go to the gym daily I'd get something that will hold up. Also depending on what you carry here were things important to me:
- wet stuff area (sweaty clothes)
- separate shoes area
- pockets for hairbands and other little things I like to have as an extra (also a pair of socks and unders just in case and a tampon etc).
- snack and water bottle (or shaker bottle) pocket

A water bottle pocket is definitely a feature I would appreciate in it!

That looks nice and comfortable too! Does it have a ventilated pocket for shoes or laundry/wet items? How large a water bottle does it hold? Thanks!

I like this Lug one: https://www.ebags.com/product/lug-life/propeller-gym-overnight-bag/333027?productid=10515115

I have an older version of the Lug Propeller and I love it. I have had it for about 5 yrs. and it is still going strong. My only small gripe is that the shoe pouch doesn’t fit my large size 10.5 athletic shoes very well.

It is truly an overnight bag and I can’t see it fitting much more than a single overnight unless you use a bunch of packing cubes.

Someone here recommended the brand....Kindra, I think.

Yes to the ventilation--both sides of the bag have zippered, ventilated pockets. The top of the bag is ventilated too. It could easily hold a regular size water bottle or slightly bigger.
