Update in 21!
We are fostering a puppy for the next 3 weeks. We may or may not adopt her. She is fitting in well, so we probably will. We don’t like the name she came with and are having a hard time agreeing on a name. She is supposedly a shepherd boxer mix, but who knows for sure. Hit me with your favorite girl dog name. TIA!

We have Daisy who's a boxer mix. :) Do you like people names or what?

Daisy is my fave girl-dog name!

We have a Stella (black lab mix). We didn't like her rescue assigned name either. I wanted Lucy or Daisy. I love the name Stella, but it is pretty common around here.

What do you like? We named our dog after one of our favorite fandoms. (Jarvis from Ironman-Marvel).

Kara (Supergirl), Diana, Rogue (X-Men), Leia (when we visited Husky Homestead in Alaska a litter of pups was named after Star Wars characters - they used only 2 syllable names), Zena (for Zenobia the warrior queen, not the TV Xena although she was kick-ass too).

Others - Shasta, Scout, Tempe

Oh my gosh. I don’t have a pet but now I want one so I can name him Jarvis! That’s awesome.

Could you post a picture as that might help with suggestions plus puppies are so cute. We just got a 2nd dog. Some names on our list were:
Rosie
Lexi
Hailey
Rory
Lily
Lottie
Savanna
Mia
Gracie
Other girls we know: Sable, Cleo, Maya, Maisy, Ruby,Sasha

I scanned a list of girl baby names. We have 2 girl dogs but one’s name is unisex and everyone sssumes she is a boy which drives me a bit crazy so this time I wanted a girly name.

Scout, Bexley, Rebel, Mia/Maya

I like a name of a place or nickname of a place. A friend has a dog named Addie after Adirondacks...their fav place to go camping.

If I can ever convince DH to let me get another dog and it's a girl I want Rigby after Eleanor Rigby because I'm a huge Beetles fan.

Thanks for all of the ideas, keep them coming. I’ve attached a picture. DH and I really like Zoey, but DD doesn’t. She likes Molly, I’m meh with it, DH doesn’t think it’s fits her. DD also likes Bella, I don’t think that fits a big dog. DH was looking online last night and came across Bayla. I love it, but DD vetoed it.

I like the places name rec. Any street names/neighborhoods have meaning for you? Friends named their dog Chelsea cause they loved living there. Other friends names their dog after their college dorm.

Ha! I was going to suggest Zoe because that's my cat's name. We also liked Chloe, but at the time had a friend whose dog was named Chloe. Zoe was an easy compromise.

I think Molly is cute.
Lucy?
Lulu?

I don't know why, but when I saw the picture I thought Chelsea.

How about Patch? cuz of her pattern coloring on her face, she's so adorable! When we got our Boxers from a rescue, they came as Brooklyn and Boomer. The name Brooklyn really grew on me, so any favorite family street/place/trip you can think of to name your pup?

When I saw the photo I thought Patches. Not necessarily a girl name, however.

I had two Shepard mixes growing up; one was named Mandy, and the other was JAS (initials for me and my two siblings), but you could easily do Jazz instead.

Our two black labs were named Scully (after Dana Scully from X Files), and Sydney (after Sydney Bristow from Alias).

Our current dog is Kyle and is a male.

There are always a bunch of dogs named Hannah, Daisy, Stella, Roxy, and Rosie at our dog parks/dog beaches.

I saw her and thought 'Bandit' and 'Peaches'. I also like Bailey for her.

My girls have been Princess and Nyla (after Nylabones)

My great-grandmother would always suggest "Bootsie" for pets. My dog growing up was "Thurber," for cartoonist James Thurber (Dad thought she looked like a "Thurber-dog (https://goo.gl/images/ZWDrPc)" when she was a puppy.)

I'm not the biggest fan of people names for pets; my cat's name was Shadow (kind of obvious, as he was a black cat) and the next cat we got is Ignatz ("Iggy" for short) after a comic strip mouse.

My family also had dogs named Mac and Lucky.
