View Full Version : Beach or bath towels (preferably with fabric to cover the head) that stay soft?

We got a couple from PBK years ago, but they didn't stay all that soft. I'd like to get a personalized one for DD, but I'm not sure what company makes the softest ones (that stay soft wash after wash). We have a couple of animal-shaped ones from Kohl's, I think, from 7 or so years ago, but they're coming apart and aren't very soft anymore, but DD likes how they have the head part of fabric to cover her head.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Have you tried the PBK hooded beach wraps? We love them. They are sized more generously than the bath towels and are also not quite as thick, which makes them seem softer/less stiff.

Company Store has them and every product I've ever had from them is super soft after washing, though I have no experience with the towels. I just noticed them in the most recent catalog.

I was coming here to recommend Company Store too. The towels I have of theirs are still amazingly soft, 4 years later.

You could just buy hooded bathrobes at Costco. My kids preferred those.

Throwing in my experience - TCS was great in past years but everything we've bought for them recently has SUCKED. My MIL bought hooded towels from them last year and they are TERRIBLE!!!! They came, they're soft, they don't absorb water at all and we don't use fabric softeners and I've tried stripping them in hot water. They also shed like crazy...I don't think I'll ever buy from them again!

Do your other towels stay soft or could it be a hard water issue?

On etsy or similar, you can find tons of hooded towels. If you have a brand of towel that you like, many shops would use that specific towel (you'd probably have to pay more for that depending on the brand) to make whatever design you wanted.
