DS is covered in theses bites. The sand fleas have been bad and he has sensitive skin. It seems a little itchy, but not terrible. The rest of us have a few, but not nearly as bad as him. My guess is sand fleas. Just wanted other opinions, do you think it's sand fleas, or something else?4798

Look similar - are you at the beach? I've never seen them on arms though? Usually ankles.

We were at a park over the weekend where everyone was getting eaten alive. We are in the land of bitting bugs, but never this bad. I told DH, DS looks like a feral child. For now I am keeping him coated in bug spray. Anything else I can do?4799

Bites on the arms, face, neck in groups of three are usually bed bugs. Having bites on his legs is usually not bed bugs unless it's a bad infestation. I would check the mattress just to be sure.

The key clue to bed bugs is groups of 3.

Bed bug bites can take up to 7 days to appear. They are usually weepy and very itchy.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkShoot! I know the pictures aren't the best, but do they look like bed bug bites? I am freaking out right now!

ETA: he's still in a crib so no box spring but I have searched every crevice of his crib mattress and saw nothing. I ordered an encampment for all of the mattresses and box springs in the house. I am totally freaked out. What else can I do???

I can’t seem to edit but those were pics after a week at camp. We left his gear in the car for days to make sure they were killed.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkDid you actually see the bed bugs? How did you id it? I have gone through his room, crib and mattress and can't find any signs of them. But his bites look a lot like your DS's. We have been in two places where the sand fleas were bad, but I don't want to ignore it if it's bed bugs. I am going to take him to the doctor today.

Hope your son feels better today. My sons got sand flea bites on their torso and arms because the shirts they wore after the beach were left in the sand before they put them on. Lesson learned.
