What’s the etiquette on tipping movers? We are buying them lunch and was thinking $20/ each tip. Is that enough?

That's what we've done. FYI- they've always wanted to leave for lunch, ime.

May want to check with the moving company and see what is standard - our movers weren't allowed to accept tips and worked through lunch so they appreciated that we had it available for them.

Maybe depends on if an in-town move or out of state, etc

Drinks and $20-30 per person (we had a great lady mover once!) is what we've always done. Cold water available when it's hot, coffee/hot chocolate when it's cold is nice. Also, explicitly telling them that it's OK to use your bathroom is helpful - then they don't have to make up an excuse to go elsewhere.

I bought my movers lunch, and then I tipped the long haul driver $150 as he was the one who drove our stuff, put the trailer in storage for 10 days, and then when he had completed another job came back and unloaded the truck at our apartment. We had one broken casserole dish lid. I was extremely happy with the moved. We moved 450 miles.

Check with their company.
