We signed up for 'Be a Santa to a Senior'. Our recipient is a 91 year old man. One of the items listed is a 'shave kit'. I assume that means razors and shaving cream, but 'toiletry' is also listed, which I would assume also includes razors and shaving cream. Do you think that they mean something else by shave kit? TIA!

My father always referred to the bag he traveled that contained his toiletries as his "shaving kit." It had his razors, shaving cream, soap, shampoo, toothbrush, etc. His was leather and looked a lot like this one:

I would assume it is a little bag with a zipper that contains a razor, shaving cream, after shave lotion, and probably some other small toiletries like shower gel, toothbrush/paste, etc.

Edit: Yes, what Cam&Clay linked to! Stocked with stuff.

Yes it is what we always called the travel toiletries bag "shaving kit". I still call it that sometimes!

Yep - we call my husband’s full travel toiletry bag and toiletries his “shave kit”, too.

totally agree with everyone else. If you are looking for another search term, it also goes by Dopp Kit. That's all I knew it as growing up.
