parental controls on chromebook

I am trying to put some kind of parental control on DD's chromebook, and can not figure out how. What do you use? I tried Google Family Link for Children but it would not let me select the chromebook. I kept getting an error message that DD was still signed into the Chromebook, even though I had signed out of her google account and signed in with mine.

I mainly want to put some kind of parental controls on Youtube.

We use Screentime to restrict app access and set a max screentime on Android tablets but I don't think it does any filtering within YouTube or other apps once you've set them as allowed apps. I'm curious to hear what others recommend.
