View Full Version : DS2 wants a PS4

DS2 is 10. We have a WiiU that has never been played tons. He wants a PS4 with the Spiderman game. I'm just not sure if there are enough other games that he would play. I'm digging through looking, but thought it would be faster to just ask her. So, good age or too young? What other games?

ETA: He probably won't want sports games.

No clue about the games, but the only reason my Dd1 (11) wants a PS4 or an XBox is to play hockey. Neither of my kids are really into sports (other than watching hockey and baseball) but they both love playing sports games on the wii.

My ds2 says "most games are teen or M so we don't have a lot of games"
But, games ds2 does like:
Terraria
Kings Quest
Plants Vs Zombies
Overwatch***
Destiny
Kingdom Hearts

(Overwatch is well loved here!)
Ds2 says that Kings Quest is a great puzzle game (I agree).

eta- Spiderman was dh's birthday present and it's really good!

Ps4 is very popular with kids who play sports games, same as Xbox one. It might be overkill for what he wants, is the Spiderman game on any other platforms?

My boys are 7 and 9, and they like all of the Lego games. They are on Xbox and PS.

My boys are 9 and 15 and we have a PS4 and a Switch. DS2 plays on the Switch mostly because DS1 has basically taken over the PS4 for himself and plays all the T and M rated games on it daily. DS2 occasionally plays when DS1 is asleep on the weekends! Today he was playing Overwatch.

Thanks for the ideas of games. I've tried googling for lists, but it's overwhelming!

He's not a fan of the Lego games. He did say some of the others listed look good to him. He watched the trailers.

Anyone know when it'll be discontinued? And if they'll stop making games quickly? I guess there are enough out there that we shouldn't have a problem, but I hate spending $200 on something if it'll be done in 6 months.

Dh says that the PS5 will be out in 2020.
