He enjoyed the hunger games series and harry potter. He is ready for another good book or series. Please suggest something. He reads at a high (12th grade) level.

Artemis Fowl. Probably below his ability but he can sail through them then. Has he read all of the Rick Riordan books?

The Dark is Rising series, the Narnia books, and then The Hobbit and the rest of Middle Earth.

DS1 is 14, but is reading the Jack Ryan books by Tom Clancy - The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, etc.

My 6th grade DS reads similarly. He has enjoyed the series Mastermind and City of Embers this year.

My son is a huge fan of Brandon Sanderson. He has written a lot and the books are hefty, but they are really good (I am not a huge fan of fantasy fiction, but I really liked The Stormlight Archive Series, Mistborn Series and a lot of others). Other ideas: Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss; The Lies of Locke Lamora; author Joe Abercrombie.

In case this helps anyone... these books do have violence so I wouldn't suggest them for anyone who isn't o.k. with The Hunger Games.
