For Christmas, I’m getting DIL a GC to a nearby yoga studio for a series of classes (note: she really wants this — it’s NOT a subtle dig!). That will be the big gift, but I’d like to add a small yoga-themed item or two for fun. However, I know nothing about yoga!!

Any suggestions? I probably want to avoid clothes because she has definite preferences and I’m not sure of sizes. She used to do yoga regularly but hasn’t for some time, so if she had stuff before, it probably didn’t survive recent moves.

A mat bag - I have one from Target that I like, but you can get them lots of places.

A mat towel - I like the ones I have from Yoga Mate. I also have one from Gaiam. As long as its microfiber it will work well.

Mat spray - Again, lots of brands. I have one from Mind Over Lather right now.

A really nice mat, block and strap set for her to practice at home.

I love my Aurorae yoga mat that has a built in nonslip microfiber towel. It truly is nonslip. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006ZBGY1C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_FkJ-Bb8DPZ32P

I also love my cherry blossom yoga mat bag that has a pocket big enough for my wallet, keys, and phone (don't see it on Amazon anymore).

Yoga blocks and a nice stainless steel double insulated water bottle would be nice too.

Not sure how much you would like to spend. I like stuff from the brand Manduka. I love their Prolite mats. They have mat bags, straps and blocks.

Another brand I like is YogaRat. I like their hand towels https://www.amazon.com/YogaRat-Hand-Microfiber-Practice-Exercise-Complements/dp/B00AJYXM0M/ref=sr_1_3?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1543156618&sr=1-3&keywords=yogarat
and knee pad https://www.amazon.com/RatPad-Eco-foam-Yoga-Knee-thick/dp/B00NBAN5NK/ref=sr_1_4?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1543156618&sr=1-4&keywords=yogarat

For fun, maybe a yoga wheel? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MUC4BNA/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_8?smid=A1PATMS4Y7RSV1&psc=1

Water bottles for classes are also good.

A yoga mat bag that has a holder that is a space for the yoga strap. I bought mine from Hugger Mugger, but it is about 16 years old, and I don’t know if they make them anymore.

Thanks, all — I had never heard of some of these items (yoga wheel? who knew?). I ordered her a mat towel and hand towel set (YogaRat — thanks, pakin!), because towels are always useful. If she does get back into yoga, I now have plenty of other ideas!
