Hello,
Just saw a travel backpack that was recommended on another thread and it started me thinking that I need to get one for an upcoming trip. I would like something that fits under the seat so I can keep it with me but that will hold my purse items and snacks and toys/ activities for our 6 year old. I would love something with some extra pockets, especially on the outside that I can keep some things within easy access. I have a backpack now that I often use for a purse but the straps are not working correctly and the outside pockets don't zip up so maybe time to upgrade. Any suggestions? TIA

I used to just use my old LL Bean back pack. I do a tote bag instead now and much prefer it. However, it is Baggalini brand and they have a backpack https://www.baggallini.com/all%20day%20backpack%20with%20rfid%20phone%20wrist let/ADB334-BG-B0001-NS.html
Marshalls and TJ Maxx are often swimming in this brand and there all great, I would absolutely go there first and see what you find in person. I like that brand because they are incredibly lightweight and not bulky at all. Good storage compartments and attention to detail. Obviously this is a more budget option. How much did you want to spend?

I love my travel backpack. It's really old but looks new still. We take one or two trips by air per year, and I've probably used this backpack for 17-18 years. It is eBags brand and I love that it has tons of pockets and compartments and the lining is bright orange. No black hole effect at all! Also, I love that it fits me well (I'm short and have narrow shoulders).

I have a North Face women's Borealis backpack that I love for air travel. Holds everything, purse, snacks, including padded pocket for ipads, etc. I tried several different backpacks earlier this year, and love this one!
