My kids like to decorate their rooms for the holidays. Right now they are using scotch tape to stick twinkle lights to the wall - its not working so good. Is there a good set of hooks that I can buy (Amazon?) that sticks well and wont ruin the drywall?

Another thing - how do you hang up posters? We've used that blue putty, but seems like the posters still fall down. Is there a better way?

Yep, the 3M hooks. They also have poster hangers, though I haven’t used those. Whoever invented these things deserves whatever his or her little heart desires—they are awesome.

I know you said Amazon, but just FYI they are at Home Depot, Lowe’s, Target, drug stores, probably craft stores, and many other stores.

Careful with the command strips. We've had it pull off the top layer if drywall on several occasions in several different homes.

Are you sure you’re pulling straight down?My DH ripped some chunks out of the walls at our last house and then complained, “I thought these were removable!” I walked over and showed him how to do them and, voila, no missing paint.

I realize you may know exactly how to do them. Maybe it’s different types of walls/paint.

I’ve had problems with command hooks too but fully admit that it could be a user error!

Just a note, I’ve had trouble when we put too much weight on them.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkWe haven't used them in so long I don't remember. Totally could be user error. I remembered the final straw with them was we had several up on the same wall. Some came off clean and some took chunks of drywall with them. Haven't gone near them since.
