I'd love to hear about your favorite Ikea items. We are planning a trip and like to think ahead. I'm interested in anything you love! Here are my favorites so far:

We still are huge fans of the Kura junior loft bed. We had them for the girls and now use it for DS:
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80253814/

We also have a double wall-mounted desk for the girls that has been fantastic in our small space. We also have the basic bunk bed that has held up pretty well.
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S29184452/

We swapped out our dressers in the Master bedroom for two Kallax storage units. It looks so much better!
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10275862/

We also have this for our TV and love it, nice small footprint.
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70302297/

What I'll be considering: thinking about trofast for DS but not sure. Also need some closet organization for him. Need cube storage, like storage ottomans.

Not storage related but we love the raspberry cookies and Dumle candy. We buy multiple packages when we visit and they’re always gone too soon!

You are looking at bigger items, but I love their dish and hand towels with loops, cutting boards, measuring cup (https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70330399/), spice rack as book racks, my "batter bowl" (https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70289248/) as I call it, etc. It's the smaller stuff I love there.

Not storage related, but we have this mirror and I really like it. It does not look like it's from Ikea.

Ooooh fun - I'll add more as I think about it.

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40302736/
This lamp is really lovely for girls' rooms. The included bulb and that fabric (machine washable!) shade casts a really pleasant glow bright enough for reading. We also have several of the wall lamps which come in different shapes like stars, hearts, etc which are super fun for kids' rooms. And in general love the kids' toys and soft toys at IKEA, especially since they are machine washable and they wash up beautifully. My kids still have their giant sharks and love them.

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80216534/
We installed 2 of these in the family "office" (open space in front of house where kids do homework/computer work) and I just love them. Our designer picked them out for us and with our soft white walls and slightly industrial office vibe, these giant pendants really make a statement. Love them.

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90358976/
This french press does such a respectable job that we got rid of our Krups coffee machine. This size is perfect for 2 people who drink 1-2 cups of coffee in the mornings. The parts all unscrew for easy washing (and we only take it apart every so often) but be careful not to lose the parts down the disposal!

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10297958/
This little stool is so great in a bathroom next to the bathtub! It has a modern farmhouse vibe and looks amazing with a fluffy white towel folded on top. We've left wet towels on it and all it does is slightly darken/roughen the surface which just seems to add more character.

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80153070/
These are our dining chairs. They're simple enough to be inoffensive (we have the cream color ones paired with a minimalistic bamboo timber table with warm wood tones that we snagged on clearance at C&B), very comfortable, and very easy to clean. I've been able to wipe off anything the kids get on them, food-wise.

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10279723/
We love these glass mugs. They have a great cool-cafe vibe. We pair them with these cork coasters https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30282946/ which I love because they can be tossed around on our wood or glass tables without worry, and the color/texture brings in a natural feel to wherever they sit.

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70307407/
We have a basic spring mattress for the kids' beds that has held up great. It's been so many years they've probably discontinued it, but it's similar to the above.

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70328669/
We have this series as cabinets inside our kids' closets (they have these dormer closets with low/sloped ceilings). You can mix/match/stack this in many different configurations. Quality is great, and the metal is really cool since you can stick anything magnetic to it! They're not large but they are great for small toy storage, accessory/jewelry, etc. The larger cabinet that I linked to would fit most normal-sized books.

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90431175/
They always seem to have different colors but the girls have these in their rooms and they're just big enough to throw on the floor to sit on, or on top of a pillow to lean on, or by the bed just to rub your feet into. They love the extreme softness!

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S09033812/
We have this couch in DH's office/mancave in the plaid pattern and it's great for a lived in/rumpled look (you know most IKEA furniture is gonna look lived in/rumpled!). The best part is the machine washable cover, and if you take off the back cushions it's large enough for someone to crash on overnight.

And a few things I have seen in person and want:

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40332074/
I don't have this but I covet it every time we go to IKEA. It would be perfect for those of you who have a "what do I do with this" desk in the kitchen - store this underneath and it would double as a stepstool and a seat without taking up any extra space. We have other molded polypropylene chairs from IKEA that are amazingly sturdy and high quality and this feels just the same

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20372834/
I don't have these either but I want them - I just need to find a place to install a couple of neat hooks in the kitchen and then store fruits/veggies in these net bags. They'd also be great at the grocery for plastic-free produce shopping.

We have lots of other smaller things - frames from IKEA are great and many come with a mat. They're cheap and once hung you thank yourself that you didn't spend more money on expensive frames. Great for gallery walls. Posters/prints are also nice, esp for kids rooms.

Will add more as I remember things :)

The two that immediately come to mind are:

Cheese grater, comes with a fine grater and a coarse, plus a lid so you can store grated cheese in the fridge. Loooooove
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50153180/

Best step-stool ever. After 15 years, ours had tie dye stains, dirt, spackle, paint, etc on it but was still as sturdy as day 1. We sanded lightly and stained it and it looks like new.

That looks like the perfect "time-out" chair. :) Thank goodness we are (in theory) out of that stage.

I love the big blue bags—currently being used as pool bags and beach bags.

I love the Ritva curtains. Ours are white and just pretty and affordable.

I don’t have one but I want a Strandmon chair. I love the shape of them! They have them in really beautiful colors.

I love so many of TwoWhats? recommendations and really just this thread in general!!

This is probably my favorite Ikea item: https://m2.ikea.com/us/en/p/hemnes-shoe-cabinet-with-2-compartments-dark-gray-gray-stained-20381763/

We also have the Kura bed mentioned upthread and I've been happy with our Ikea duvet covers and mattress protector.

I have their bamboo cutting board with an edge that hugs the counters, white containers for the pantry, bamboo utensil dividers. Love the dish scrubber with a suction end.

I love the baby washcloths with the colored loops. I use them as paper towels in our kitchen. I bought a bunch and use them constantly. They have held up well.

The greatest ever IKEA item is their lingonberry jam. Super low in sugar, fruity and just delicious. We usually buy like 6 jars when we go!

Also love their dish towels (super cheap for what you get), their "tupperware" sets, their stainless steel spatulas (you have to buy with pasta spoon and ladle, which I always give away coz we have too many - still just $2.99 for the 3 items!). Their outdoor seating can be a fantastic deal, also their rugs. What I dislike: Poang chair. No one should have one past grad school - it's just uncomfortable!. We have several Trofasts and I'm meh on them. The Kallax is a better toy/book storage option.

SKUBB two compartment hamper: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30224046/ - I have two of these; one in my bedroom for my own laundry - things I wash in cold water go in one laundry bag and things I wash in warm or hot water go in the other) and one in the hallway (used for towels & sheets.)

BLASKA dustpan & brush: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70170329/

Chocolate-filled sandwich cookies: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40374926/ (I also liked the apple-filling ones, but I think they discontinued these.)

Plastic food storage bags! They have unique sizes. Love the Yellow and the green/blue sizes! They are soooo sturdy that we often reuse them.

Chip clips.

Cutting boards!! Both wooden and flexible.

Their duvets!! We have the Grusblad/cooler. DH & I both have our own twin size. Love this! This way no one steals the blankets...we each have our own. I tend to like cozier and warmer whereas DH likes a lighter cover so we swap out duvet covers regularly to suit our individual needs. We also no longer use a top sheet...just the duvet cover and wash as needed. Soooo easy!! Love this European approach to bedding!!!

I cannot remember the name but I have a big lidded stainless pot that I love.

The box of oat cookies, Dumle & Daim candies, coffee, and lingonberry sauce (we use this at Thanksgiving instead of cranberry).

We actually use the outdoor Brommö folding chair in DS’s very small bedroom as a lounging chair. Crazy comfortable and DDs both TRY to sneak in and sit in it. Love it: https://m2.ikea.com/us/en/p/brommoe-chaise-outdoor-brown-stained-black-brown-40332682/

We actually made DS’s bed from 2 Kallax 4-Block and 2 Kallax 8-Block units and a mattress support to use with regular twin mattress. Super comfortable, teen-approved, tons of storage....great for small space!

Hyllis shelving unit: https://m2.ikea.com/us/en/p/hyllis-shelf-unit-indoor-outdoor-galvanized-00278578/
I bought two on a whim and they’ve become so handy! They are not super sturdy but they are a great size for laundry room, patio, etc. We just used one as food storage during our kitchen remodel.

I forgot the name...Pack of two arched kitchen cabinet storage device that allowed you to store cookie sheets and platters vertically in a large deep pantry. ♥️ They need to be drilled in but soooo awesome!!!

Thought of a few more!

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20193267/
Amazing watercolor set! The paints are highly pigmented, there's a lot in each well, and the brushes are way better quality than Crayola stuff. You can get a set of good artist brushes for older kids. Mine have produced some really beautiful pieces of artwork. The only drawback is that while it's easy to clean hard surfaces, this doesn't wash out of clothing very well unless you do it quick.

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70102972/
These storage boxes are great and I especially like the way the lip of the lid hugs the top edge of the box so dust is really kept out. Great for attic or any storage. We have them in lots of different sizes. They stack, and no latches to break.

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70224228/
I really like this neat and tidy little set of screws - we can almost always find a screw we need from this little box. There's also a larger version with matching drywall anchors. If you use up all the screws the box is re-purposable for many other things!

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10271675/
We have a similar basic down comforter from years ago that has held up well for kids. I see how they have Lyocell versions! I will say that it's been hit or miss with sheets - some of their sheet sets are very soft and others have been rough. Duvets are soft though.

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50402858/
We don't have this exact one but have others from over the years and have been really happy with them. Pay close attention during the holidays for some really cute ones. We have several strings of snowflake lights that we LOVE and I'm impressed with the quality of each of the plastic molded snowflakes - very precise, no seams.

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40268756/
We have these everywhere, LOL!

https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80429328/
They always have different ones and I like to look for the last chance closeouts at the end of summer. They are large and are on the thin side and so they aren't so difficult to wash. I know there have been threads on here before with people preferring thinner beach towels. These are it! Thin, but definitely a step up from "cheap-thin".

Sateen sheets! so soft and get better with every wash!
duvet covers
comforter for inside the duvets. we all have a different weight.
Euro pillows and super thin regular pillows for DD who hates a thick pillow
Black out curtains. thick and fabulous! way better than the BBB supposed black out curtains that really aren't.
Dish towels.
kitchen utensils
clear glass bowls (cereal size), plain white bowls, and bigger white plates for serving

White xmas lights
Magazine storage containers

MEATBALLS! and swedish sauce mix
Chair for living room--everyone wants to sit there, from tall DH to short DD. i think this https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20276663/
the Poang chair and stool in black leather so comfy.
Tempered glass stacking glasses, Pokal. love these as much as my picardie. also love the 365 stacking
Champagne glasses
The big blue bags! recently got some in RAINBOW https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00450804/
side table lamps and floor lamps with the pull chain (easier for my short arms to turn off from my bed) https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40433011/

back in the day, we had a lot of toys. the easel, train, swivel chair, stuffies. we still have the plastic plates and bowls we use for snacks.

Lightbulbs. Extension cords. Trivets.
Patio chair cushions.
Vases
Plants

and HAHA we recently redid our kitchen and used IKEA cabinets

Love the shoe storage cabinet. Had the Hemnes one in our old house and left it in the laundry room. Bought the taller Stall one for new house.

Super cheap but works great table. Melltorp - about 30x30 - I have four of them end to end in kid/loft area. Great surface for games, puzzles, lego.
https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S39011781/

The curtain wire that works great in kid rooms for changing out posters/art work.
