Has anyone tried the Amazon Basics version? Seems like a better deal as you get 150 of the #2 pencils, pre-sharpened for $12.49.

Edited to add: never mind. I just scanned a few reviews (despite the 4.5 star rating that shows up top, many low reviews complain they don't sharpen well and lead breaks off).

Thanks for posting, OP! I just ordered some, too... our school wants pre-sharpened, but I'm going to have the kids help me sharpen them. :)

The sharpened 96 pack is $14.96 right now and mine is showing up with an available 15% off coupon, making them $12.72. Not bad if one would rather buy presharpened.
