Trying to come up with an idea for 11 yr. old D2 to surprise her. She has basically asked for legos, stuff for her AG dolls (she still loves to do imaginative play), and books. And she is getting all of those, but I need something else to even out gift amounts between the girls. I see that Target has the Intax on sale for $50 and you get a $15 GC if you order it online, which seems like a good deal. If your kids have one, do they use it much? Is it a pain to replace the film (can I use coupons on it at Michael's?) The other idea I had is a fitness tracker. Her older sister and I have fitbits and she has a cheap knockoff from Amazon that doesn't work very well so she doesn't use it.
Or if you have other ideas for a just turned 11 yr. old girl, let me know!

Don't know about the intax. DD loves to take pictures and would have set up scenes at that age, but she just had my hand me down digital camera and now prefers her phone since she's older.

Does she like to craft? If so, DD loved needle felting at that age. She would make lovies for her dolls, play food for her dolls, etc. For her gifts like WoolBuddies kits were perfect because they combined her love of crafting with something she could make and use in her imaginative play. Bonus that she wouldn't have to think of something to make (she doesn't like that as much) but could personalize it and make something else entirely with leftover bits.

Owl stuffed animal to make, perfect size for her dolls (this was one of DD's first projects, turned out adorable): https://woolbuddy.com/collections/felting-kit/products/needle-felting-owl-kit

Fun foods for playing with the dolls? https://woolbuddy.com/collections/felting-kit/products/needle-felting-dessert-kit-1

Watch a video to see how and if it's something she'd be into. I was surprised how much love this got at our house. HTH!

Does your DD already have a smartphone? If so, I'd skip the Instax camera and just get the Instax printer. It's smaller than the camera, is wireless, and allows you to print any pic from your phone using the Instax app. I bought one for myself and like it! [emoji23]

My Dd1 (13) got one at 10 or 11 and she doesn’t use it much but she likes it for the instant gratification of the photos being able to print out. I think I have bought one or two refills of film on Amazon. She was recently telling me about some mini printer that can connect to your phone and print out Polaroid type photos and I think it is the one that Essnce linked above.

I was actually looking at these at Target today and thought they looked neat! I asked her about the camera and she said it would be neat (a friend of hers has one), but I don't know how much use she would get from it. I imagine she would use up all of her phone taking pictures of our cats, lol.

Thanks, we do like to do crafts here but have never tried needle felting. I see that Michael's sells some kits, so maybe I'll pick up one for her to try.

My daughter has one and has gotten the most use out of it at camp where smartphones are not allowed. Otherwise she uses her phone and she does have the little HP printer.

So the HP printer is on amazon but it says it won't ship to my local location, wth???? Any other suggestions. I didn't see it at best buy when I was there. It would be for DD 16 who always takes pics and would love it!

I would do more Legos and doll things. So many great options out there on the Target toy aisle alone :)

I also like the pp idea of the felt crafting. I have this put away for DD (almost 9). Sew Mini Treats
