I found some on Rei.com and Amazon, but was wondering if there are any that you particularly like and recommend (since there are so many to sort through). We're coming from a really cold climate, and I'm trying to pack minimally, so thought they would be good for wearing from home, and zipping off when we land. Bonus points if they don't look super outdoorsy or frumpy when they're in pant version... I wish Athleta made some, as I feel like their clothes are cuter and have more style than a lot of what I see from Columbia, etc. Would love to find an olive green, or possibly grey, pair, but I'd also be fine with black. :)

Thanks in advance!

I’d just do some workout capri tights. You won’t die of hypothermia from the car to the airport. The zip off pants (which I have a pair of from REI that I wore in Belize) do serve a purpose but I think you’ll be better off with the tights. Otherwise, don’t overthink it. They’ll never win any style awards so go with ones that are good enough budget and style wise.

I have a pair of Columbia pants that can be rolled up that I love. They turn into capri pants.

I probably wouldn't do the zip off pants either since they aren't my style and I'd likely never wear them again. Another suggestion is to look at Athleta (or somewhere similar) for cute but light weight pants. I got a few pairs last year for a trip. They are black pants, almost joggers. Very comfortable, very breathable and not hot at all. One pair has a draw string on the bottoms that pulls them up to capris.

Every trip I end up buying clothes at Athleta for travel.
