How do your tween/ teenage boys hold money when they are out? A lot of athletic type wear do not have pockets. Do they put money in a wallet? And if so, can you link to a picture. Seems like wallets either look little kiddish or grown man to me. DS has been carrying his around in a gift card tin. There has to be a better way.

Does he have a phone? My 16 yr old has a stick on card holder for his phone. He usually shoves his license bank card and a 10 / 20 in it. He has a slim wallet w/ money clip similar to this when he needs to take his actual wallet. https://www.amazon.com/Pocket-Wallet-Leather-Blocking-Strong/dp/B079DKS46M/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=slim+wallet+money+clip+iphone&qid=1582553048&sr=8-7

My son is a bit older - 16 - but he uses a wallet and has for about a year. But once he got a phone, he started only wanting shorts and pants that have deep pockets. We were going through his clothes just yesterday and he said one pair of shorts he never wears because of the shallow pockets.

Plenty of athletic pants and shorts have pockets; you just have to remember to look when buying. :) Pockets is my answer

My 12 year old will fold up money, usually a $10, and put it between his phone and case. He has a Speck case. He also uses his pockets.

My 10 and 16 year olds both carry wallets. DS1 just in his pocket (I got him the same tiny wallet I have) and DS2 usually takes one of those Nike cinch bags and puts his in.

Lanyard? Lots of kids here put their ID, money and keys on a lanyard with a card holder. It's especially popular with kids who drive, but boys and girls use them.

Yes, DS is 14, and won't wear anything without pockets! I can't see him using a cardholder on his phone, unless he could put a popsocket on it, but then it would be bulky. He is usually only carries cash in his pockets. I know some folks are using apple or google pay more and more too, so they only have to swipe their phone.

Pretty sure DS1 (14) is putting cash between his phone and case if he needs to secure it. He has a wallet but I've never seen him take it anywhere outside the house.
