8 yr old DS has been asking to do crafts a lot lately. He likes the kind where he just rummages through a box of stuff and uses his imagination to create things.
I'll admit I kinda hate crafts. I hate the mess, but since we are stuck inside indefinitely I might order some stuff from Amazon.
What are some craft box essentials?

colored pipe cleaners, pompoms, googly eyes, craft sticks (like popsicle sticks - come in different sizes), construction paper, glue sticks and runny glue (glitter glue if you're brave!), yarn, buttons, washi or duct tape, foam sheets and cut outs or stickers. When my girls were younger I bought several craft kits with a bunch of these materials. I think one may have been by Alex brand, and another one from Michael's, their store brand. You can also buy stuff individually. A glue gun is nice if you want to help him glue things, sticks much better than regular glue. My girls also loved decorating wooden cutouts, picture frames, bird houses, etc. with sharpie markers or paint.
