I am working as a cashier to get out for be house a bit this summer. I am also a teacher. Is there such a thing as good shoes for 8 hours of standing. Holy cow my feet kill.

Sketchers makes a great line of affordable work shoes. Some are available at Famous Footwear. I personally have worn the "Kimberly" style for years, they run about $50.

I love my troentorp clogs. Working in a kitchen for over 5 hours my feet would get tired but would never hurt.

Ditto the Birkenstocks and Vionics. They have great arch support, and are wonderful if you have Plantar Fasciitis.

Fitflops also do really well for me. (And they aren’t just flip flop style). I love oofos for home after standing but they are too ugly to wear out.

Fitflops are my jam. They’re my Disney shoe of choice and I can put in 32000 steps without pain (seems like a million years ago!)
