Hi BBBers! We need to pick a sink for the new garage. It's intended for DH to wash his hands before coming into the house after gardening/woodworking/etc. so he doesn't track that all into the house. I thought we'd pick up a simple stainless steel sink but have found that those sinks tend to be wobbly/unstable and cheap-looking. I bought a stainless steel utility sink for under $200 from Costco for our outdoor grill area and it's super wobbly/annoying. Our contractor also said they tend to be unstable. So I want a nicer sink for our garage but I want it to be a good value.

Our interior designer linked to a stainless sink (on Wayfair here (https://www.wayfair.com/home-improvement/pdp/whitehaus-collection-pearlhaus-2313-x-2313-free-standing-service-sink-whc2668.html?piid=&experiencetype=2&selectedvertical=2)) that another client loves but it is almost $1500! There's no way I want to spend that much on a utility sink. You can get a nice wood cabinet sink for that amount of money but that seems overkill for a garage.

I did find this utility sink (https://www.us.kohler.com/us/hollister-28-x-22-bracket-mounted-utility-sink-with-8-widespread-faucet-holes/productDetail/kitchen-sinks/416270.htm) by Kohler but it's wall-mounted and only $100 cheaper.

Please tell me you have recommendations for a "nice" BBB quality/good value sinks for your garage/laundry rooms. This is our forever house (I want to be taken out feet first!) and we don't want to have to replace the sink so I want it to last a good 20-30 years.

Thank you!

My laundry room sink is from a restaurant store. It’s installed screwed into the wall, it’s not wobbly. There’s 2 screws on top corners of the back splash. From memory the plumbers screwed it in so it was more secure - I don’t think it has screw holes there, so that was a modification.

This is what I have. I think it was under $200. It’s 21” x 21”. I would’ve like it be a bit wider but I didn’t have the space.

Thank you both. I think I decided I don't like the look of stainless steel sinks. I found this Alape sink all over Pinterest, but it requires a wall faucet (which we didn't plumb for beforehand and the sheetrock crew is already here). But a wall-mounted white sink is my goal now....

I would install a cabinet and a Koehler sink. You should be able find a budget sink through them. It will make the garage look finished. You’re sheet rocking why not put in a cabinet too.

We have an amazing utility sink and I ran down to see what material it is made out of, it is sturdy as anything, and looks really cool. Well, it is concrete and has steel legs. Apparently this means it is vintage and there is a whole web world dedicated to restoring them.

I did find a cool tutorial on how to make your own, bc, you know, the average human has time for that kind of project! The web really is a scary place.

I agree with the cabinet idea, you can store soap and towels for him, gardening gloves, goo gone, poison ivy soap, things like that. Hang a towel rack on the side, put the finger nail brush on top.

The first one I linked to above is a cabinet and it gets great reviews. It is a stainless steel sink though.

Thanks, ladies. I think I decided I just don't like the closed cabinet look inside my garage. It would be the only cabinet in there, as DH plans to put in a workbench and his metal pegboards up.

Edited to add: I just found this one photo on Pinterest and love everything about it but don't want to spend thousands on it:

I tried to look on etsy but no one is selling just a base. I did see some with concrete sinks but I like the white farmhouse look.
