View Full Version : Real quick! Scooter for 12yo?

DS2 wants a scooter for his birthday. He's not super picky about colors or styles (and we're even ok with sorta cheap) but he really wants one that will fit him. He has a razor scooter he's had for ages. He basically wants that but bigger. We're trying to buy online so unsure of sizes. He's SUPER light weight and many of the scooters have a much higher weight limit but I don't know if that means it has higher handlebars. DS2 is only about 5' tall but will probably end up closer to 6 as he grows.

The handlebars are about the same on both. I think my DH loves the micro but the kids prefer the razor.

We have had the Razor scooter for awhile. I got it so DH and I could goof off with the kids on scooters. It's held up well and fits my 14 year old son now too.

Thanks! We were looking at the Razor and wanted to make sure it was the right size.

I honestly wouldn't mind one! (Although we ordered a Razor. I love riding their smaller Razors, lol!)

I absolutely love mine! It’s great to be able to head out with them and cruise all over together.

I'm pretty sure the Razor A5 is the one my two oldest have now. Works great for DS (age 14 & about 5'-7") and DD1 (age 11 & about 4'-10").

The Razor A5 lux is what DD (14) rides. DH and I will ride them sometimes too (we have 2 of them.). They are sturdy and smoother than the small scooters.
