I finished binge-reading the books; they are quite different, but I think the writers really got to the heart of the story. I'm absolutely looking forward to Season 2!

I was wondering the same- we started watching last week and after the first 2 episodes I came on here searching for what I assumed would be a big thread about it! We just finished episode 5 so still haven't gotten to the Lady Whistledown reveal.

The big surprise is that DH is enjoying watching it along with me. I figured it would be too "soapy" for him.

Also, does anyone else wonder what happened to the necklace that the Prince gave to Daphne? She took it off when she
was outside overlooking the water. She set it on the stone wall and then ended up walking away from it. I kept wondering
about the necklace. LOL!

Dh said she picked it up off the wall before she ran off to the garden. When we watched it, I thought she had left it too. I didn’t rewind and check if he was right because he spots things I never notice.

I figured out Lady Whistledown too after a few episodes. I thought they might keep that mystery going for longer like Gossip Girl, but I guess they weren't sure there would be another season for sure (although now it seems obvious that it would be a hit).

I started watching yesterday and finished today. Texted DD(17) shortly after I started to let her know I finally was watching Ep 1. Her first question was whether I had seen “hot guy” yet. I knew exactly who she was talking about.

She also said that he’s hosting SNL on the 20th. We were just debating whether they will find a way for him to be shirtless, in a wet shirt, or both.

I have only seen episode 1 but I agree some of the acting talent is lacking. The actress who plays Anthony’s lover Sienna is the same actress who played Karen in season 1 of Poldark and I find myself looking forward to more characters than just the Duke, and Daphne. I like Penelope as well so far. I don’t get the casting of Eloise either.

The Queen looked constipated in episode 1. I know they were supposed to be serious, but it was just uncomfortable serious.

Also the Queen is not played by Maya Rudolph it is Golda Rosheuval.

Oh my, I binged this one. It is highly entertaining and fun, but at the same time it brings up some interesting social issues. And omg that Duke- swoon!
