UPDATE: MIL did much better Friday, DH spent a lot of time with her and with FIL, and talking to MILs doctors and felt reassured that she is improving. She told DH to go in the trip and spend time with us. Thank you so much for all your prayers! We're on the trip and we all feel so much better!
MIL had surgery last week, FIL has been in radiation treatments, DH is their primary caregiver and is also overwhelmed at work. We are supposed to leave on a trip this weekend for the kids spring break, that we all desperately need. MIL is having complications. If she doesn't turn around tomorrow, we'll be forced to decide if we cancel the trip and lose the money for the reservations, or if DH stays and I take the kids without him. Please please send any P&PT you can that she stabilizes. If things worsen, we'll all be devastated. I haven't seen her in a year thanks to covid, and we can't even visit her at the hospital. Please send prayers. DH is with FIL tonight and I can't tell the kids that their beloved grandmother is not doing well or that the trip may be cancelled.
