Preferably V Neck and not too thin that they are see through. I am not liking the little in stock at my local Target this year. Would love to spend $20 or less. I will either wear a large or an XL depending on the fit.

I like the two or three Everywear Tees I have from Old Navy. (Granted mine were from the thrift store). I usually comb the tshirts for "nicer" ones since they are only $1.50. The ON everywear tees are 100% cotton and come in lots of styles. I think regular price is $8-$10 so very affordable, I plan to get a few when my Super Cash is redeemable.

I bought some of their scoop necks last summer and they are nice. Of course the v neck tee they have this year has a mini pocket and I dislike pocket tees a lot....takes a lot a way from the t shirt imho. Totally useless.

Melanie- I will look at Old Navy as well.

Boden doesn’t have much either.

I can order some from Target as well but the price is slightly higher online ($8 vs. $5 in store).

Uniqlo has some good T's and they are 100% cotton which helps with keeping shape. They have been fairly thick when I bought them couple of years back. Their colors are a hit or miss but worth checking out.

I like the ON Ultralite t-shirts. https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=552834042&cid=1030828&pcid=1030828&vid=1&nav=meganav%3AWomen%3AOld%20Navy%20Active%3AActive wear%20Tops&cpos=161&cexp=2223&kcid=CategoryIDs%3D1030828&ctype=Listing&cpid=res21032912167202724221722#pdp-page-content

I wear them almost every day. So light and my daughter asks why I am wearing work shirts.

I have some that I bought from Eddie Bauer last year or the year before:

https://www.eddiebauer.com/p/20902476/women's-favorite-short-sleeve-v-neck-t-shirt

The fabric is substantial and they have a "Tall" range in addition to regular Misses' sizing.

I really like the Amazon Essentials v-neck tshirts. They sell them in pairs for $19 or less.

These are my favorites. I tried them out based on a recommendation a few years back when I asked about t shirts. I've gradually been adding to my collection and now have an assortment of colors. They wash up well, hold their shape and color, and are thick enough that they don't show through.

These look interesting but I was surprised to see that the fabric content (all cotton or cotton/poly blend) varies by color, but if the details for each color are listed, I sure missed them. Odd.

I popped into Maurice's today, they had quite a few nice v necks. They were about 19.00 but seemed decent quality.

I get new linen blend (or just linen) t-shirts every year from the gap. They may be a little more sheer than what you want (I wear a cami or tank under them) but I love how loose and cool they feel in the summer. Linen doesn't cling and I love that!

Thanks for all of the recommendations. I ended up getting the Amazon Basics tees in a few different color combos. I was able to get a large. I will say I think the heathered ones run a bit small but I really wanted the colors that came with that combo and for $20 I figured as log as I wear one and they wear wear it should be a good deal. I will wear the heathered ones around the house just not in public.

I will also check out the other recs as well.

I was at the loft today, they have their plain v neck tees that are so soft, and 12.00 right now. I think they call them the vintage tee.
