Purse/Handbag with multiple compartments

My mother has always been obsessed with "bag with compartments". For her birthday this year, she wants a "good sized purse with many compartments". Any recommendations?

She may be looking for a bigger option but I love the Sash Bag and it’s all I carry for the last three years or so. (The classic size is perfect for me but there are “extra” and expandable options).

I have a nice looking but dirt cheap tote from Target with the first insert from the spruce article linked above. I can't tell you how obsessed I am with it when I travel - DD calls it my Mary Poppins bag because it holds so much while looking like nothing is in it.

You cannot beat the "multiple compartments" here! Note that there are 2 sizes, Small and Medium so check dimensions. I have the Medium and it's more of a big tote but the Small could totally be a good "large purse" size.

Thankyou for the recommendations everyone. She says she wants a tote/purse for travel- to keep her passport, documents medicines, glasses, cosmetics , jewelry --all in separate compartments. I will look through the recommendations and see if there are any that she might like.. Do You think any of these brands will go on sale for Thanksgiving?

Baggalinis are in abundance at places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls. I love mine for travel and I paid less than $40 for it. Same with Kipling. They are lightweight, which I prefer for travel especially if I will be lugging the bag around for hours.

You’ve mentioned that before, and each time, I realize I have no idea where the nearest AAA office is! I’m a big fan of Travelon and similar brands. I’ve bought all of mine through eBags, although I think they’re narrowing their range of brands. Whenever I got to the dermatologist, she always looks at my bag and always asks if it is Baggalini! We have similar tastes in bags…

Mz wallace bags has awesome small, crossbody, totes and bigger bags with great storage and pockets. i have the bigger tote i travel with for any trips longer than 3 days. it holds my phone, laptop, ipad, passport, money, makeup bag, wipes, eyedrops, etc and pocket for water bottle.
