I tackled ds1’s room while he’s away at school. Been meaning to do it since he left in August! I didn’t half-a$$ it either. It got a thorough clean. Biggest accomplishments:
-there were still 2 boxes in his closet since when we moved in February 2020. They are unpacked and dealt with.
-his backpack from March 13, 2020 was still in the corner, like a pre-pandemic time capsule. I went through it all and kept a smattering of stuff in the small high school box I have for him.
-his suitcase from study abroad had been on his floor, partially packed since early July. I unpacked it and put the suitcase away. His floor space really wasn’t big enough to have a suitcase just laying around!
-sorted and labeled stuff in his closet.

So, things have been hectic on the cleanup front lately - we had more home-reno projects completed, which means ... my intentions to get everything cleaned & organized before throwing the tree up were thwarted by drywall dust, our usual Thanksgiving weekend obligations, and yard cleanup work.

I'll post what's finished and what needs to be done tomorrow afternoon.
