Anyone dye playscarves with their toddler?

I'm tired of DD taking DS's burp cloths to pretend she's at music class and using scarves!!

Does anyone have tips on dying silk playscarves?

I was thinking of using kool-aid so DD could participate in the fun, too. And making a bunch so that when playgroup comes over they are not doing the tug-of-war dance with the scarves!

I haven't done this yet! I have the supplies and I googled a page from mothering:

I hope to do this once we get settled in the new fall routine of preschool and classes and sitnplays - but before Halloween hits!
